Just back from another well-received round of shows with the All-Starr Band, Gregg Rolie continues working on a new solo release, the Santana/Journey co-founder's first since 2011. Rolie says that touring with Ringo Starr was "too much fun for anyone to have. Had a blast as always with these guys. I'm up for this anytime or anywhere. It's electric."

Rolie posted a new photo with Frenchie Smith and Sean Rolie, taken at Sonic Ranch in El Paso, Texas, as they were “finishing mixes on new material.”

The Beatles' acclaimed 2003 album Let It Be... Naked makes its global digital debut today exclusively on iTunes. In addition to the 11-track album, the iTunes LP features all of the original booklet art and liner notes, as well as bonus audio of studio banter captured during The Beatles' 1969 recording sessions for Let It Be.

Former La's bassist John Power's certainly got a head start on most other contenders for playing John Lennon in a new musical, courtesy of a definite physical likeness and the same nasally vocals. He even went to the same school as Lennon. But several actors have played John Lennon on film over the years, most to great critical success.

The nine-foot 1877 Steinway grand piano that sat for years in Motown Studio B in Detroit, Michigan, was returned to Hitsville USA, and reassembled in Studio A by Steinway technicians, after a complete restoration at the company's factory in New York.

Paul McCartney helped fund the restoration of the piano after he visited the museum in July 2011.

A fierce bidding-war skyrocketed the price of a rare Beatles Record to a record-breaking $290,500 today. The copy of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band was signed by all four Beatles, and said to be in extraordinary condition. According to the auctioneer, the sale set a new record, beating a previous price in the $190,000 range.

On Tuesday, July 9, Paul McCartney will play Boston's Fenway Park, returning by popular demand for the first time since his August 5 and 6, 2009 shows set the record for the highest ever two-day concert attendance in the history of the storied ballpark. Tickets for Paul's July 9 show go on sale online on Friday, April 5 at 10 a.m.

Legendary producer Phil Ramone has died at age 79.  He produced Julian Lennon's first two albums, co-produced a Ringo album and produced several tracks for Paul.

The humble yellow door that once served as the entrance to the McCartney family home at 20 Forthlin Road in Liverpool is for sale.  Paul’s family used the door daily from 1955 to 1964, and it’s thought that over 100 of the Beatles’ early songs were written behind it.

Auctioneer Chris Albury, who is handling the sale of the door at Dominic Winter Auctioneers in Gloucestershire, has given the door an estimate of between £3,000 and £5,000--r $7,600 US.

A draft of a letter from John Lennon to Paul and Linda McCartney around the time of the breakup of the Beatles is among hundreds of historical documents being offered in an online auction.

 It is expected to fetch $40,000 to $60,000 US, or £26,000 to £39,000.
